dbt and Airflow changes as tested pull requests
NerveStax
Each change is built and tested against a development target in an isolated sandbox, and Airflow changes can be tested by a verification DAG in your own Airflow. It opens as a pull request with results and reasoning; a person approves the merge.
Astronomer
Otto writes and edits DAGs, runs them locally, reads the logs and fixes failures before anything reaches your deployment. It also reviews pull requests with inline comments. dbt projects run as Airflow DAGs through Cosmos.

Astronomer runs managed Airflow. If you want hosting, upgrades, support and an agent from one Airflow vendor, Astro with Otto keeps it in one place. NerveStax does not host Airflow.
Otto draws on Astronomer's Airflow compatibility knowledge for version upgrades and migrations from schedulers such as AutoSys. NerveStax does not plan Airflow upgrades.
